- Description: Idea Box Integrated Arts is seeking an Assistant Teaching Artist (ATA) for a Dance/Music/Theater residency for Grades K/1. The ATA will train in Nov/Dec, assist the lead teaching artist 5 days a week Feb-early April, and be offered an additional 8 days or more in April-Jun. Duties include positive behavior modeling and active participation in all class activities, one-on-one classroom management and redirection for struggling students, and assistance with class setup/cleanup as necessary.

- Student Age Range: Grades K and 1
- # of Students Per Class:30-32
- Schedule: ALL CLASSES: 1:45-2:45pm. ATA is expected to be present from 1:35-2:55pm
- 2nd Quarter (1st Grade)-- select dates only
- Training dates: with Dance/Drama teacher: TH- Nov 15, FRI- Nov 16
- Assist the Music teacher on: Mon-Nov 19, TU- Nov 20, TH- Nov 29, FRI- Nov 30, TU- Dec 4, TH Dec 6
- 2nd Quarter (1st Grade)-- select dates only
- 3rd Quarter (Kindergarten Rm 103):
- 5 days a week, Monday through Friday (Dance/Drama & Music all dates)
- Begin Feb 4, 2019
- End Apr 4, 2019
- No class on CPS days of non-attendance for students (avail on CPS website)
- 4th Quarter (Kindergarten Rm 101)-- select dates only
- Meet students/assist Dance/Drama Teacher: Mon, Apr 8, TU, Apr 9
- Assist the Music teacher: TH, Apr 11, FRI, Apr 12, TH, Apr 25, FRI, Apr 26, TH, May 2, FRI, May 3, TH, May 9, FRI, May 10
- Additional information
- If hired, the ATA must get a fingerprint background check by Nov 5, 2018.
- To be considered, you must have prior experience working with youth in a supervisory capacity. This can include in the classroom, as a camp counselor, nanny, babysitter, or similar experience.
- Previous experience as a Dance, Theater, and/or Music artist preferred, but not required (but you must be ready to jump in and model good participation for all activities!)

- Pay: $20/class for 61 classes for a total of $1,220.00
