RAW MATERIAL AT DANCE NEW AMSTERDAM

Application Fee:
$35 check or money order made out to Dance New Amsterdam

Diverse in content, style and medium, RAW Material encourages artists to bring new and mid-process work to a live audience, and to experiment with new ways of crafting their work. Past participants have included nugent + matteson, alexx makes dance, Isabel Lewis/ The Labor Union, Aletha Adsitt, Richard Rivera, Jenny Rocha, Alicia Ramos, Anna Sperber to name a few. Raw Material is our bi-annual showcase, with presentations in the spring and fall. DNA provides full marketing and production support, subsidized rehearsal space and a stipend for artists to present up to 12 minutes of work in DNA’s new state of the art theater.

Participants are selected through a competitive review process by a panel of peers.
