The inspiration of a couple people had to come together in order to form Dance Chicago. I was a dance producer and I had always done show cases and productions managing many dance groups. Fred Solari, our co-founder, had been working in theatre production for 10 years. He approached me with this idea for a dance showcase to produce local artists’ work.
