FREE Youth Theatre Opportunity!

Monday, February 25, 2019 - 7:30pm to 10:30pm

Do you know any young people who are interested in theatre? CYS has an opportunity to see some FREE theatre and engage in a conversation about the importance of youth art!

JOIN US at Writers Theatre of Glencoe on Monday, February 25th at 7:30pm for a special performance of Othello! The performance will be followed by a post-show discussion led by the Writers Theatre Youth Council.

Set on a modern day undergraduate campus, Chicago Youth Shakespeare's production of Othello features the collaborative work of 15 youth artists from across the Chicago area, and examines issues of systemic racism, sexism, and abuse through a contemporary lens that speaks directly to today’s young adults.

This free event is designed to engage youth arts leaders from across the city in conversation about race, equity, and the impact of theatre on social justice.

The performance runs 75 minutes with no intermission. Seating is general admission, and doors will open approximately 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the performance. There will be no late seating.
