Links Hall’s mission is to encourage artistic innovation and public engagement by maintaining a facility and providing flexible programming for the research, development and presentation of new work in the performing arts. Links Hall has worked from our Lakeview-based facility developing innovative and supportive artistic programming since 1978. We present a wide ranging program of dance and performance. The intent is for artists and audiences to develop enthusiasm, lively discussion, and context for dance and performance as complex and meaningful cultural expression.
Summary of position: Supports Links Hall’s education and community engagement activities by providing support in the form of marketing assistance, workshop registration/evaluation, and the development of new education initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Attends workshops, serving as on-site staff liaison to teaching artists. Provides assistance to instructors by orienting them to Links Hall procedures, conducting on-site workshop registration, and coordinating workshop evaluations.
• Maintains and builds relationships with organizations and individuals to better publicize workshop and educational offerings.
• Summarizes workshop evaluations and makes recommendations for the enhancement of future programming.
• Assists with the coordination of special education projects as they arise, including off-site programming.
This Internship is an unpaid position.
The Internship is available for an undergraduate or graduate student, or a non-student. The Internship can be done for college credit.
Schedule of internship includes office hours as well as presence at weekend and evening workshops; some responsibilities will be conducted remotely.
