You & Your Performance

Some primary areas of focus in this introductory workshop are:

-Exploration of presence
-Collaboration through yielding with strength
-Spatial elements of composition & choreography
-Conjuring action, imagery & states of being
-Engaging the audience by engaging with the moment
-Strengthen the voice by creating original sound & music
-Generating text through rhythm and energy
-Tapping into joy as the basic performing experience

This work can be used in many different ways, such as as a training technique for performance, creating original pieces, assistance in collaborating with others, or simply for exploring awareness through the body.  Exercises are based in the profound techniques developed by Scott Kelman (1937-2007), whose work has provided inspiration for thousands.  No performing experience necessary, people of all backgrounds welcome!  To reserve a space contact: info@theperformingspace.org or 971-212-2554.

Molly Jaeger apprenticed and performed with Scott Kelman for over 3 years and has been working within the kelmanworks technique sine 2003.  She has led workshops in Portland, Boulder CO, at the National Theatre in Colombia and the Leeds University Workshop Theatre in the UK.  She has perfomed in numerous unannounced pulbic improvisations in Portland OR and the UK as well as in 5 original works created through this unique process and approach to performance.  She is a new resident of Chicago.
