Help this dynamic arts organization take its success to the next level. You will report to the Executive Director in this multi-faceted position and will be responsible for all box office and customer service functions, concert production and logistics, and bookkeeping and
administrative duties. This is an opportunity for someone seeking to further develop customer service and arts administration skills with a highly-respected classical vocal ensemble that has entertained and inspired Chicago audiences for over 25 years.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include processing and fulfilling all ticket and subscription orders, functioning as the “face” of the organization to our customers and providing insights into customer behavior; processing, recording and acknowledging all donations; acting as primary liaison with concert venues, overseeinglogistics and running all front-of-house concert operations; and training and managing volunteer concert staff. You will also have a key role in planning and executing the annual gala event, including managing reservations, seating, logistics and décor, and volunteer staff.
On the bookkeeping side, you will handle entering bills, tracking and reporting payroll, reconciling concert income, preparing and recording deposits, reconciling bank statements, preparing detailed financial reports, and assisting with preparation for the annual audit.
The position includes 32 office hours per week plus approximately 110 weekend/evening hours for concerts and other events annually. Salary is low- to mid-$30s. In addition to paid vacation, sick, and personal time, the position offers a Health Reimbursement Account with an allowance for medical expense and health insurance premium reimbursements on a pre-tax basis.
