ABOUT
Contribute your voice to Chicago Artists Resource! To ground the site in the first-hand experience of artists, we are developing a collection of Artist Stories that address practical, strategic and philosophical issues. Artists' contributions answer questions that correspond to topical areas of the site. In the long term, Artist Stories featured on CAR will create a living archive of creative activity in Chicago, a resource to both the art world and general public alike.

QUESTIONS
You can browse through a range of questions we have prepared and choose a question that suits your practice and/or experience best. If you are interested in contributing a story that does not correspond to our existing set of questions, you can email us to suggest your question be added to the list.

GUIDELINES
Once you've selected a question to answer, try to be concise and specific, giving examples of how you solved certain problems or developed strategies to find your answers. Things to avoid are lengthy artist statements, extended biographies and lists. We will preserve the voice, style, and intent of your story, however we reserve the right to edit your artist's story for length, grammar and clarity. If we edit your story, we will request final approval from you before posting it on the site. We may also ask to you edit or rewrite your submission as necessary.
