Designed for organizations and artists wondering how a blog can help with
publicity, issue advocacy and message management, this session will
address the resources needed and the questions to ask before jumping on
the blog bandwagon.

- How to track what's being discussed in the media and on other blogs using RSS feeds and online tools.

Trainer
Christine Cupaiuolo is a freelance writer/editor and media consultant
who specializes in developing blogs and online communities for
nonprofit organizations. She has worked with the Arts & Business
Council of Chicago and University of Illinois Extension, among other
groups.
She currently writes
for OurBodiesOurBlog.org, the blog of Our Bodies Ourselves, a
nonprofit, public interest women's health organization, and contributes
to other publications.
Christine started writing online in 2000, when she founded the magazine PopPolitics.com. In 2002, she created ms.musings, Ms. magazine's blog on women, media and culture, becoming one of the first bloggers to write for a national magazine. She was later hired as Ms. magazine's online editor. Christine previously worked as a researcher/writer for C-SPAN and as a government and legal reporter for the Rutland Herald (Vt.) and a weekly newspaper in New York. Her feature writing and investigative reporting have been recognized by the press associations of those states.
