In celebration of the citywide event highlighting the visual arts, the Hamilton Park Cultural Center is hosting Through Our Eyes: Visions of Englewood, a photography exhibition, celebrating community life in Englewood. The exhibition, which will be open to the public from October 10 through 24, will include an opening reception on October 10th at Hamilton Park Cultural Center. After kicking off the exhibit at Hamilton Park Cultural Center, the photos will travel to other Englewood Community sites. Works submitted by artists should focus on the 2008 Chicago Artists Month theme, “Artists and Issues that Matter.” Topics for the collection should include those of most concern/interest to the participating artist, including political, environmental, moral, social, global or personal issues.
Submission Guidelines
All entries must include:
- Artist statement
- 4-5 sentence biography
- Resume/CV
- Clearly labeled images on CD
- A separate sheet detailing the title and year of completion of images
- SASE for return of materials
