City Style House Tour

The 20th annual “City Style” House Tour, offered by the Chicago City Day School’s Parent’s Association as a fundraiser for the School’s programs and students, will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., kicking off with a reception at the Chicago History Museum, located at 1601 North Clark Street. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the homes, which are within walking distance of one another.

Homes on the tour will include:
 
* A brand new condominium completely designed and decorated using authentic antiques from America’s Federal Period (1780-1830)
 
* A North Astor townhouse that exhibits the expert talents of its owner, an experienced interior designer, and includes unique features like a faux tortoise shell ceiling
 
* The former Tea Room at the Mayfair Regent Hotel, an exquisite apartment that is decorated to the nines in Parisian antiques, as well as modern amenities
 
* A glamorously outfitted townhouse in the Lucien Lagrange building that boasts a fresh French country style accented by contemporary art and fabrics
 
Advance purchases should be made by May 16 by calling the Development Office at 773-327-0900. Tickets are $140 in advance, but can be purchased for $165 at the door from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. ($100 of the ticket price is a tax-deductible donation to the School).
