Acknowledgements

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs has developed Square Feet Chicago in collaboration with many individuals and organizations in the arts community, real estate industry, and related professions. It was funded by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, a national leader in support for individual artists.

Square Feet: The Artists' Guide to Renting and Buying Space was originally published in 1998 by Artscape, a Toronto-based arts organization. Through an agreement with Artscape, we have adapted this manual to Chicago, expanding the range and depth of information, and providing local resources and focus.
