Annoyance Theatre is seeking a Managing Director beginning mid-September, 2008. The position requires an extremely flexible human being with a good sense of humor (this doesn't mean you need to be funny!) and a thick skin. It's a whale of a job, and as in most small theatres, the responsibilities tend to cover all aspects of the theatre. It's an exciting job for someone who is interested in learning every aspect of how a small theatre survives, and who is unafraid to tackle the unexpected. (If you like your job to be fairly uneventful, this isn't the job for you!) Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) -scheduling rehearsals and events; -input on choosing productions -scheduling and planning of productions -production contract management -creating programs for productions -supervising interns, box office operations and bar operations -basic admin duties such as answering phones & daily reports -Press Releases and contacts -website update and upkeep -Front/Back of House supervision Benefits include Health Insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation.
