Senior Preparator, MCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art seeks Senior Preparator, Exhibitions. Planning and successful installation of assigned exhibitions. Assisting in the creation and tracking of budgets. Assisting with the department�s involvement in all non-exhibit activities. Participating in the setting and achievement of new goals for the department in the areas of exhibit design, art handling, building techniques, material selection, and storage.

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

M.A. or M.F.A or equivalent experience preferred. B.S., B.A., or B.F.A. required. A minimum of four years museum preparation experience required. Shop and carpentry skills required. Supervisory experience required and fiscal skills preferred. Monday through Friday, 9am-5pmand additional hours as required to complete assigned responsibilities. General mobility throughout all museum properties is advantageous.
